January 17th Topic:

Networking with Hiring Authorities

Presenter:

Presenters: Panel of Hiring Authorities including HR Professional Rianne Idstein from the Society of Actuaries, a nonprofit organization in Schaumburg, IL

To start the year we will have a frank discussion with an HR Director and potentially 2 to 3 other hiring authorities about networking for jobs. How do THEY like to network with potential candidates? We'll ask about best practices they've seen from candidates who did a great job of staying in touch, without crossing the line... and we'll talk about where that line is! Plus, you'll learn some interesting facts about the process of hiring and the reason why these processes are in place. Understanding the process can help you network with hiring authorities in a way that they will appreciate.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, she'll have a list of job openings within her company with her! Want to meet a hiring authority who has job openings? Join us!

*For SpeedUpMyJobSearch.com Members who cannot attend, we will record this seminar and include it the JDNG Job Club section under the Resources tab.
