NAMI DuPage is pleased to offer WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) to individuals with mental illnesses. Through WRAP you will develop a comprehensive, personalized and strengths-based plan to help you achieve your recovery goals, manage symptoms yourself, and improve your quality of life. 

Course includes:

  • A plan developed & managed by you
  • Creating your own wellness toolbox
  • Learning key recovery concepts
  • Designing a personal crisis plan

Don’t worry! We aren’t trying to prevent the changing of the leaves or keep the pumpkin spice lattes out of your local coffee shop! No. We are talking about a more serious type of fall.
 
A fall can be very detrimental to the senior community. Villa St. Benedict strives to be a resource for our local older adult community. That’s why this October we are offering a 2-part series on how to prevent falls in the senior population. Our director of nursing, physical therapist, and director of our fitness center will team together for this very informative series that is free to the public. Come yourself, or bring your older loved one!

Freedom Day event we are hosting on October 12th from 8-8pm at our Wheaton location (200 E. Willow Avenue Ste. 203 Wheaton, IL 60187).

Freedom Day is a day of thanks to our US Military, Veterans, and Immediate Families. On this day, we will be providing FREE Dentistry for these individuals.

NAMI Basics is a free, 6-week education program for parents and family caregivers of children and teens who are experiencing symptoms of a mental illness or whom have already been diagnosed. NAMI Basics is offered in a group setting so you can connect with other people face-to-face.

You'll learn the facts about mental health conditions and how best to support your child at home, at school and when they're getting medical care. Last year, 99% of participants told us they would recommend the program to other parents.

The course is taught by a trained team with lived experience—they know what you're going through because they've been there. The 6-session program provides critical strategies for taking care of your child and learning the ropes of recovery.

What You’ll Gain
At NAMI Basics, you'll find out that you're not alone. Recovery is a journey, and there is hope. The group setting of NAMI Basics provides mutual support and shared positive impact—you can experience compassion and reinforcement from people who understand your situation. This class meets twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday nights for 6 weeks.

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 12-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people living with mental illness. It is a designated evidenced-based program. Research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to an individual living with a mental health condition.

NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there, and includes presentations, discussion and interactive exercises.

What You’ll Gain
NAMI Family-to-Family not only provides critical information and strategies for taking care of the person you love, but you'll also find out that you're not alone. Recovery is a journey, and there is hope.

You'll learn the facts about mental health conditions and how best to support your child at home, at school and when they're getting medical care. Last year, 99% of participants told us they would recommend the program to other parents.

The course is taught by a trained team with lived experience—they know what you're going through because they've been there. The 6-session program provides critical strategies for taking care of your child and learning the ropes of recovery.

What You’ll Gain
At NAMI Basics, you'll find out that you're not alone. Recovery is a journey, and there is hope. The group setting of NAMI Basics provides mutual support and shared positive impact—you can experience compassion and reinforcement from people who understand your situation.
