Turkish Cooking Class

Date: March 17, 2018 Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Event Description This cooking class, we will be tasting food from the Ahiskan Turk culture. Ahiska Turks, or Meskhetian Turks, are an ethnic subgroup of Turks, whom formerly inhabited the Meskheti region of Georgia, along the border with Turkey.

The cuisines from this region, for the upcoming cooking class, will be Manti, very similar to the Turkish dumpling which was made in the previous cooking classes, and special carrot salad. The manti of this region is cooked in a special pot that enables cooking via steam, which gives it a very original taste. The carrot salad is one of the favorites from the food festivals, which those who've attended will definitely recognize.

The fee per cooking class attended will be $10. As TASW, we always want to provide the best quality for our friends and neighbors.

Hoping to see you all on Saturday. As always, please RSVP as soon as possible.

* Taking this chance, I would also like to announce the date for the Food Festival!  The 2018 Turkish Food Festival in TASW will be on May 5th 11am-7pm, so please make sure to book your calendars to not miss this once in a year event *
