Jobs Driven Networking Group
Join us every 3rd Thursday at the Mason's building downtown Wheaton (120 W. Wesley) to learn advanced networking tactics, while Job Seekers find leads, Job Givers (employers) share jobs, and everyone builds their network for current, and future career advancement.
This monthly networking group is free to attend, and relevant for people from all industries and job types.
Each presenter will close each meeting with an exercise for the attendees to use with each other after leaving to help strengthen their networks. This is a very real opportunity to build a trusted network in your community!

Immediately after our meeting we will be taking digital headshots for job seekers with professional lighting, a backdrop, camera, and a Photoshop expert to produce quality images. For a donation of $40 to Wheaton Lodge 269 (cash only), you will get a headshot for LinkedIn, and a template to use it for Vistaprint Business Cards.
Pictures will be from 1pm to 2pm, so please indicate if you want a headshot when you RSVP. Thank you!

Presenters: Panel of Hiring Authorities including HR Professional Rianne Idstein from the Society of Actuaries, a nonprofit organization in Schaumburg, IL To start the year we will have a frank discussion with an HR Director and potentially 2 to 3 other hiring authorities about networking for jobs. How do THEY like to network with potential candidates? We'll ask about best practices they've seen from candidates who did a great job of staying in touch, without crossing the line... and we'll talk about where that line is! Plus, you'll learn some interesting facts about the process of hiring and the reason why these processes are in place. Understanding the process can help you network with hiring authorities in a way that they will appreciate. Oh, and I forgot to mention, she'll have a list of job openings within her company with her!
