Speaker: Carrie Shearer
Manager, Marketing and Community Outreach, NM Home Health and Hospice
Ms. Shearer has over 25 years of experience in healthcare with a focus on home health, palliative care, hospice care, chronic illness and disability.
It is never easy to give bad news, but there are ways to make it more acceptable. In this session, we'll discuss a six-step method for effectively communicating bad news that truly supports patients and families.
Breakfast will be served.
At the completion of this program, social workers and RNs will receive 1 CEU.
Nursing credits will be provided by the Northwestern Medicine Provider Unit, an accredited provider with distinction of the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Social Work credits will be provided by NM Home Health and Hospice, a registered social worker continuing education sponsor by the State of Illinois, Department of Financial and Professional Education, Division of Professional Regulation.
